- On the rear, the 2 appliances (here shown as a dishwasher & wine fridge) flank a centrally placed, counter-sunk sink.
- Due to the overhang of the marble top (to allow a comfortable posture for working), the sink is projecting back on a pair of piers which frame an under-sink cupboard, which is itself recessed to allow comfortable foot space when standing at the sink.
