- The front door enters on a quarter-landing of the stair, which, rather than forming a traditional stair-well, meanders through the building.
- The steps would be single blocks of limestone, & plain lime-plastered walls & ceiling emphasise the interplay of space, light & shade as one progresses up the stair.
