Barn House

JA 2002-2003

A sketch-scheme for a house in a rural location to replace a barn that had been destroyed by fire.
At the centre of the building is a dining room that is entirely glazed, allowing light and views through the building, & which was ultimately inspired by the geometric plans & glazed walls of the Belgian Art Nouveau architect, Victor Horta.
Apart from the glazing of the central bay, windows are mainly confined to the garden side.
