Apple Store Conversion

  • A sketch-scheme for the conversion of a mid-20th century apple store to residential use. The internal spaces all radiate off the spiral.
  • The existing large openings on the rear are used to create a two-storey recess in the façade, entirely lined with glazing, & containing a terrace.
  • Internally the living areas are open-plan, and orientated around the terrace to create a luminous & spatially dynamic interior.
